The purpose of this analysis is to show some features of my pronunciation of the words "cad", "cat", "tad", "tat", "dad", and "dat". It will show that I have a released "t" at the ends of words ending in "t" and that the "d" is audible in words ending in "d". It will also show that the length of the vowel in words ending in "t" is somewhat shorter than in those ending in "d". A particularly interesting feature is that there is more significant vowel glide in the words ending in "t" than in the words ending in "d".
